In ayurveda, GBS (Guillain Barre Syndrome) is included in the vata vyadhi. It is a rapid-onset muscle weakness caused by the immune system damaging the peripheral nervous system which is characterized by ascending paralysis at the beginning in the feet, hands and migrating towards the trunk.

Symptoms of GB Syndrome

  • Numbness, tingling and pain followed by weakness of the legs and arms that affects both sides equally and worsens over time.
