1. Mudga (Green Gram): It is Sweet and Astringent in Taste, Dry, Cold in Potency, Bitter in Taste After Digestion, Easily Digest, Mitigates Piitta and Kapha Dosha.

2. Masha (Black Gram): It is Aphrodisiac, Exceedingly Alleviates Vata Dosha, Unctuous, Hot in Potency, Sweet, Hard to Digest, Gives Strength, Produces Urine and Stool in Large Quantity, Increase Semen Instantly.

3. Rajamasha (Cow-pea): It is Laxative, Alleviates Kapha Dosha, Semen and Mitigates Amlapitta. Sweet and Astringent in Taste, Aggravates Vata Dosha, Dry, Hard to Digest.

4. Kulattha (Horse Gram): It is Hot in Potency, Astringent, Sour After Digest, Mitigates Kapha, Vata Dosha and Semen. It is Useful in Cough, Hiccup, Breathlessness, Piles.

5. Makustha (Moth Bean): It is Sweet in Taste, Sweet After Digest, Dry, Cold in Potency. It is Useful in Raktapitta, Fever Etc.

6. Masura Chanak, Kalay Etc.: Are Easily Digestible, Cold in Potency, Sweet in Taste, Ununctous. They Are Useful in Vitiation of Pitta and Kapha Dosha in Form of Soup or Lepa.kalay is Aggravates Vata Dosha. Chanak is Mitigates Three Doshas When Consumed With Ghee.

7. Tila (Sesame Seed): It is Unctous, Sweet, Bitter, Astringent, Pungent in Taste, Hot in Potency.it is Good for Skin and Hair, Gives Strength, Mitigates Vata, Aggravates Kapha and Pitta Dosha. Black Variety of Tila is the Best of All Varieties.
