In ayurved prachhanna karma is a type of raktamokshan ( blood letting) consider as a shashtra karma.
This karma used usually when vitiated blood localized areas of the body.
Prachhanna means" to cut " or to make incision.
This karma done by using a sharp pointed instrument like surgical needle or blade to make multiple, superficial, parallel incisions or puncture on the affected area.In ayurved prachhna karma done also by patra which have rough surface.
