In Ayurveda, cough is known as Kasa. It is not considered a single disease with one fixed treatment. Ayurveda clearly explains five different types of cough, each caused by different dosha imbalances. Because of this, cough can present in different ways—dry cough, cough with mucus, chest discomfort, throat irritation, breathlessness, or repeated coughing episodes.
This is the main reason why one syrup, one tablet, or one home remedy cannot treat every cough. When the exact type of Kasa is not identified, the treatment remains incomplete, and recurrence is very common, especially in allergic or chronic respiratory conditions.
For proper and long-lasting relief, it is important to consult an Ayurvedic doctor, understand which type of cough you have, and then take dosha-specific treatment. If you are suffering from recurrent cough, allergy-related cough, or any respiratory problem, you are welcome to visit our clinic for detailed evaluation and proper Ayurvedic care.
