Asthapan Ayogya (Contraindications for Decoction Enema)

अनास्थाप्यास्तुअजीर्ण्यतिस्निग्धपीतस्नेहोत्क्लिष्टदोषाल्पाग्नियानक्लान्तातिदुर्बलक्षुत्तृष्णाश्रमा

र्तातिकृशभुक्तभक्तपीतोदकवमितविरिक्तकृतनस्तः-

कर्मकुद्धभीतमत्तमूर्च्छितप्रसक्तच्छर्दिनिष्ठीविकाश्वासकासहिक्काबद्धच्छिद्रोदकोदराध्मानाल

सकविसूचिकामप्रजातामातिसार-मधुमेहकुष्ठार्ताः|| Ch.si.2

(1) Ajeerna (Indigestion), Atisnigdha (Excessive Unctous), Snehapeeta (After Taking Unctous Material Internally)

Reason:- Causes Udgar(Belching), Moorcha,(Faintness),swayathu(Swelling).

(2) Utklishta Dosha

Reason:- Increase Mandagni, Aruchi

(3) Yaanakanta (Excessive Travelling)

Reason:- Causes Emaciation in the Body

(4) Ati Durbala(Excessive Emaciated), Khut(Hungry), Trishna(Thirsty), Shramarta(Tired)

Reason:- Causes Emaciation in the Body

(5) Bhuktabhakta(Just After Meal), Peetodaka(After Drinking Water)

Reason:- Vata Getting Provoked; Throws Out Enema Fluid Upwards or Downwards and Produces Serious Disorders.

(6) Vamita(Who Has Undergone Vaman Therapy), Virikta(Who Has Undergone Virechana Therapy)

Reason:- Burn the Dehydrated Body Body as if Cauterised With Kshar

(7) After Nasya Karma

Reason:- Causes Impairment of Senses and Obstruction of the Channels

(8) Kruddha(Anger), Bheet(Fear)

Reason:- Enema Will Mount Very High

(9) Matta(Intoxiaction), Moorchhita

Reason:- Due to Derangement of Conciousness, There Will Be Complications and Injury to the Mind.

(10) Praskta Chhardi(Continuous Vomitting), Nistheeva(Excessive Salivation), Shwasa(Dyspnoea), Kasa(Cough), Hikka(Hiccup)

Reason:- Vata Turned Into an Upward Course, Will Carry the Enema Fluid Upwards.

(11) Baddha(Intestinal Obstruction), Chidra(Perforation of Intestine), Dakodara(Ascitis), Adhamanarta(Distension of Abdomen)

Reason:- Further Increase the Disvates the Distension and May Lead to Death

(12) Alasaka,visuchika(Gastroenteritis), Ama Prajata,amaatisara (Diarrhoea Due to Indigestion)

Reson:- Causes Ama Dosha

(13) Madhumeha(Diabetes Mallitus), Kustha(Skin Disorder)

Reason:- Further Aggravates the Disease
